Highgate Baptist Church is a small, friendly, generous group of Christians, who believe that God speaks to His people through scripture, fellow church worshippers and – regularly – people, things and circumstances outside of the church.

We believe that what He says to us is that we must worship Him and love the community in Highgate for His sake. Over the 165 years that this church has existed in Highgate, the people have tried to show God’s love to the community in very practical ways. You can learn about our history in Highgate though the Heritage Resource that we will open during 2022. In more recent years we have supported activities for people of all ages, and a venue for community activities – including grieving – in our church building.

Now that the coronavirus pandemic seems more under control (we pray), we are starting a process of listening to God specifically to hear what he has to say to us about the future of our church.

More about Peter Stanford at Highgate Baptist Church will go on our Heritage page this spring.
